On WhatsApp one fake message is circulating since last 3 years or more Titled as The Crusades have finally started as predicted!

The Crusades Have Finally Started Again, a forwarded email and forum post making the rounds online since 2016, makes a number of claims about foreign countries cracking down on Muslims

The first para of the message reads as follows –

The first countries to ban Islam: See how the world is acting fast on the threat posed by Islam and its barbaric Sharia Law!

Japan has always refused Muslims to live permanently in their country and they cannot own any real estate or any type of business, and have banned any worship of Islam. Any Muslim tourist caught spreading the word of Islam will be deported immediately, including all family members!

Now let us check the facts –

Islam is a minority religion in Japan. In the absence of official statistics on Muslims in Japan, demographic estimates range from between 70,000 to 120,000 Muslim residents

Its fake message Japan has not banned Islam.

There are many Islamic foundations in Japan
In Japan, there are no official travel restrictions on Muslims, or practitioners of any other faith.

The first mosque in Japan, the Kobe Mosque, was built in 1935 and the second mosque in the capital Tokyo were built by Tatar migrants escaping the Russian revolution, now the largest Muslim ethnic group in Japan.

As per media reports currently there are about 200 mosques and masjids across Japan.

The quint reported last year that YASU, a Tokyo-based Japanese company created the ‘Mobile Mosque’ for Muslim visitors ahead of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

The heavy-duty truck expands into a 48-square-metre large room that has the capacity to accommodate up to 50 people. The space is also equipped with prayer mats and a water basin for ritual pre-worship cleansing.

The mosque-on-wheels, which was debuted at Toyota stadium in western Japan, gives people a place to worship when they attend events.
