Who will become next President of India 2017

India's President Pranab Mukherjee is due to retire in July

The Presidential election is scheduled on June 17, 2017.
The new President should be elected by July 25, 2017.

Currently BJP is in power and opposition is not united because of CBI fear and many other reasons. Thus, nominee candidate given by BJP will become the President of India.


Currently no political party has declared any Presidential nominee and suspense remains.

How is the President of India elected?
The President of India is elected by the voting by an electoral college consisting of the elected members of both Houses of Parliament, the elected members of the Legislative assemblies of the 29 states and the elected members of the legislative assemblies of the Union Territories of Delhi and Puducherry. However, the values of the votes cast are all not equal and various formulae are used to ensure parity of the votes by MLAs and MPs.

As of now, the electoral college comprises of 776 MPs and 4120 MLAs.

The total strength of electoral college is 10,98,882 votes, wherein the halfway mark is at 5,49,442 votes.

The nomination of a candidate for election to the office of the President must be subscribed by at least 50 electors as proposers and 50 electors as seconders.

The election is held in accordance with the system of proportional representation by means of the Single transferable vote method. The voting takes place by secret ballot.

The manner, procedure method of election of President is provided by Article 55 of the Constitution of India.

Below are the names of the Candidates who may become the President of India

1-L.K. Advani - Before Supreme Court Judgement Advani was the one and only eligible candidate for the post of President as BJP is in power.
Reason not eligible candidate us of race - – Babri Mosque Demolition Case
But now Advani cannot become the President of India because of Babri Mosque Demolition Case.

Do I think he will become President of India?
No.

2- Murli Manohar Joshi -
Murli Manohar Joshi is a former BJP President and always loyal to RSS and BJP.
He served as cabinet minister in all three governments formed by Vajpayee. Modi was part of BJP’s 1992 Ekta Yatra in Kashmir, which was led by Joshi, then BJP president.
He also left his own constituency Varanasi for Modi in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections and never complained.

Joshi took part in the Cow Protection Movement in 1953–54

Reason not eligible candidate - Out of race – Babri Mosque Demolition Case

Do I think he will become President of India?
No.

Lok Sabha speaker Sumitra Mahajan

Reason not eligible candidate – Once She was member of Congress and loyal BJP and RSS members wont that like that

Do I think she will become President of India?
No.

4-
RSS Mohan Bhagwat –

Shiv Sena and BJP both even if want RSS Chief to become President of India
RSS chief will not become President of India.

Reason – RSS always followed the policy of staying away from government and controlling government from outside using many organizations and
Thus, RSS will not allow and Mohan Bhagwat won’t become President of India

No.

Reason not eligible candidate – The Ghost of Bofors Case, Panama Papers, Friendship with great prime minister of India Rajiv Gandhi

No.

Sushma Swaraj –

Positive – Loyal to BJP and RSS always
Facing health Problems but now she is back after renal surgery.

Do I think she will become President of India?
No.

Businessman Ratan Tata
Good Friendship with BJP, PM Modi

Do I think he will become President of India?
No.

8-
Businessman N.R. Narayana Murthy –
Infosys Founder
Good friendship with BJP and PM Modi
He is honest as per majority Indians.

Possible that BJP may nominate him.

9-
Superstar Rajni Kant –

If BJP nominates him it will help BJP to enter Tamilnadu and states where BJP got little presence.

Possible that BJP may nominate him.

10-
Subramanian Swamy –
Friendship with PM Modi
Will, make it easy towards construction of Ram Temple
Increase Hindu Vote share and as a President he can start slow process towards building a Hindu nation through his speeches.

Possible that BJP may nominate him.
