Odisha Police is implementing Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS) which is a Mission Mode Project of Government of India.

Under CCTNS Project all Police Stations and Higher Police Offices in the State and across the Country is being computerized and networked.

For convenience all Police offices are interconnected and work is undertaken in a centralized application.

In order to provide better and quick services to Citizens, Odisha Police has launched Online "Citizen Portal" under CCTNS Project.

"Citizen Portal" will enable citizens to access information, request for different Police services, complaints and to get copy of FIR as well as to track the status of different services provided to the Citizens.

To avail the services one has to create a user account on the CCTNS, Citizen Portal.

About complaint –

Complaint is a module provided under CCTNS project to the citizens for escalating their allegations to the Police online.

The basic advantage of this module is that, the citizen will not have to go to the Police Station and wait there for a long time to get his complain/allegation registered in Police records.

On registering a complaint in Citizen Portal, registration number is automatically generated and acknowledgement is being generated.

Simultaneously the Officer-In-Charge of the Police Station is alerted by the system to initiate action on the allegation.

There after a Police Officer will contact the complainant and enquiry into the matter.
However, it is pertinent to mention here that when a genuine complaint will be acted upon in a time bound process, a false and fabricated complaint may invite legal action against the complainant.

About Lost Property -
Request for Registration of Lost Property is among one of the citizen services provided by Odisha Police under CCTNS Project.

To avail the service, Citizen has to log in to the Portal. If the Citizen is new to the Portal he has to register with the Portal which is a one-time activity.

After logging into the system, please update your profile immediately and upload your photo, Identity Proof, Address Proof etc. for all services and for future references..

While filling the request form, please fill at least all the mandatory fields (*) along with Personal details, address, contact number and details of lost property with information relating to “how, when and where” the property was lost.

Before submitting the request, Please verify the same. Once you submit, the request will not be editable.

After submission of the request you will be alerted by the system by SMS and email along with Lost Property Registration Number with a system generated certificate which can be printed and referenced.

About Character Certificate  -
Request for Character Certificate is among one of the citizen services provided by Odisha Police under CCTNS Project.

To avail the service, Citizen has to log in to the Portal. If the Citizen is new to the Portal he has to register with the Portal which is a one-time activity.

After logging into the system, please update your profile immediately and upload Your photo, Identity Proof, Address Proof etc. for all services and for future references.

This service is available to the citizen who are residing in the area of Commissionerate of police Cuttack and Bhubaneswar and to the citizens residing other places of the state where (30 Police Act) has been promulgated by the district authority.

To avail the service, Citizen has to log in to the Portal.

After logging into the system, please update your profile immediately and upload your photo, Identity Proof, Address Proof etc. for all services and for future references..

While filling the request form, please fill at least all the mandatory fields (*) along with Personal details, address, contact number and event details.

Before submitting the request, Please verify the same. Once you submit, the request will not be editable.

After submission of the request you will be alerted by the system by SMS and email along with Service Request No.

Request for FIR Copy is among one of the citizen services provided by Odisha Police under CCTNS Project.
To avail the service, Citizen has to log in to the Portal.

Steps to Create Account –
1.
Click on ‘Create Citizen Login’ link.

2.
Enter necessary information in the screen.
a. Choose a Username (Login ID) and Password which you can easily remember.
b. Fields which are marked with star (*) are mandatory and needs to be filled.
c. Fill-up the two mandatory security questions as per your choice.
d. Remember the security answers as it will be required in case you forget your password.

3.
Click on 'Submit' button,if you are sure that you have filled the form correctly. On clicking, you will be redirected to Home page to access the services.

4.
Click on 'Clear' button to remove all the entered data in the form.

5.
Click on 'Close' button to go back to login page.
Note:
Password should be between 8 to 30 characters.
Password should have at least 1 special character, 1 number and 1 alphabet.
Users are requested not to create multiple accounts to avoid complication.

LOGIN STEPS TO ACCESS CITIZEN PORTAL
1. Enter the ‘Username’ and ‘Password’ chosen at the time of creating account.
2.Ensure to enter the characters displayed in 'CAPTCHA' in the text box.
3. Click on ‘Login’ button.

If you have forgotten your password click on 'Forgot Password' link.
You will have to enter the security answers that you had entered at the time of creating the account. Correct answers will give you an option to create a new password.
Click on ‘Submit’ button.
