List of Holy Places where females and foreigners are banned in India

Following are the names of the holy sites in India where women and foreigners are banned entry

1.
Sabarimala, Kerala  
Lord Ayyappa's temple  
Female aged 10 -50 years are barred from entering the temple, as Lord Ayyappa is believed to have taken a vow of celibacy.

2.
Barpeta , Assam  
Patbausi satra and its neighbouring satras (Hindu monastery)  
The reason for the denial was to preserve the 'purity' of the satra, which had been out of bounds for women for centuries because traditionally menstruating women were considered 'unclean'.

Assam Governor JB Patnaik decided to break the rule and he entered with some women in 2010.

3.
Shillong , Meghalaya  
Idgah Masjid  
Women were banned entry; however, in the year 1988, it opened its doors for women.

4.
Kerala    Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple  
Women are not permitted to enter the temple vaults.

5.
Guna district, Madhya Pradesh    Jain Temples  
Women wearing jeans and t-shirts are not allowed entry.

Places of worship where foreigners are not allowed.

1.
Guruvayur , Kerala    Guruvayur Sri Krishna Temple  
Non-Hindu's and foreigners are banned from entering this temple.

2.
Puri , Orissa    Jagannath temple  
Sirindhorn, the Crown Princess of Thailand was also not allowed entry as she was a Buddhist.

3.
Bhubaneswar, Orissa    Lingaraj temple  
Foreigners and non –Hindus are not allowed entry.

4.
Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala    Padmanabhaswamy Temple  
Foreigners and non –Hindus are not allowed entry

5.
Panaji, Goa    Mahalasa Temple  
Foreigners are not allowed

6.
Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh  
Sri Venkateswara Temple  
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has made it mandatory for those belonging to various faiths other than Hinduism to sign a declaration form before entering the hill temple, stating that they have faith in the presiding deity, Lord Venkateswara.

There is no restriction for female entering padmanabhaswamy temple in trivandrum. But follow strict dress code
