Names of twitter accounts, which parody similar to PMO twitter account
Currently Government and twitter are fighting over the twitter accounts the twitter accounts which mimic the prime minister's official @PMOIndia handle or which parody the PMO twitter account.
According to the Twitter policy, parody accounts are allowed.
In order to avoid impersonation, an account's profile information should make it clear that the creator of the account is not actually the same person or entity as the subject of the parody/commentary.
In June PMO wrote to twitter regarding those accounts which mimic but twitter did not take any action.
After that, service providers Indian internet companies ISPs were asked to block these pages
The sites that got PMO's goat are parody accounts with similar sounding names like
@PM0India (O has been replaced with a zero),
@Indian_pm
@PMOIndiaa
@dryumyumsingh
Media has reported that currently there are six accounts which are similar to PMO twitter account.
On the name of religion and caste and hatred, let us hope government will not ban everyone and blanket ban on parody or comments, which do not support the government views and activities.
Nothing is bad in parody.
If you do not like ignore it.
If you do not like write a counter twitter and government got unlimited funds and press support to let everyone know that what truth is.
Act of banning is against human rights.

Its good that the accounts have to state that they are parody accounts.

I am able to see all those accounts...Why Govt is worried with few similar handles? They can spend their energy in controlling other internet related crimes rather than following these few twitter accounts.
That's a great move to deter duplicate identity!
How will removing thesse a/cs help?
