NADA bans 6 Indian athletes for doping which includes Gold Medal winner
Banned for 1 Year



National Anti-Doping Agency's Disciplinary Panel has banned 6 Indian
athletes for doping which includes Asian Games double gold medalist Ashwini Akkunji

The test conducted at the National Dope Testing Laboratory (NDTL) revealed that one from a batch of six supplements collected from the athletes contained stanozolol and methandienone.
all the six athletes tested positive for stanozolol.
methandienone was found only in the urine samples of Mandeep and Juana.

They have been handed 12-month bans by the National Anti-Doping Agency's Disciplinary Panel with benefit of suspension period

These athletes have been banned from June 2011 to June 2012

Ban will end before the London Olympics so they may take part in the Olympics.

Now the question is do they deserve to be part of Indian Team for Olympics?

This Year in May and June The athletes,
Mandeep Kaur,
AC Ashwini
and Sini Jose, who were part of the 4x400 metres relay gold winning quartet at the Commonwealth and Asian Games, and
Jauna Murmu,
Priyanka Panwar
and Tiana Mary Thomas, tested positive, positive for anabolic steroids.


Following are the names of 6 Banned athletes

1. Mandeep Kaur

2. AC Ashwini

3. and Sini Jose, who were part of the 4x400 metres relay gold winning quartet at the Commonwealth and Asian Games,

4. Jauna Murmu

5. Priyanka Panwar

6. Tiana Mary Thomas tested positive, positive for anabolic steroids.
 

After that their Ukrainian coach Yuri Ogorodnik was sacked.

The guilty runners won the gold in the 2010 Commonwealth Games.

This is really sad...:(
after so many incidents how these atheletes time n again dare to do it and push themselves into such a worst situation.

I think that anybody not following the rule must be banned.its the right thing...

Nobody follows the rules and regulation so its pretty hard to take decision.
