Review of Xperia X10 - The Good, The Bad , The Final Conclusion

The Bad – Negative Points

1.Front is glossy plastic, which requires lot of care to keep shine of cell . In few weeks the phone will lose the shine. One has to be very careful regarding handling . A slight mistake and shine will get reduced .

2.Sony xperia x10 is using Android version 1.6/Donut is outdated version

3.HTC Desire, Legend and Samsung Galaxy Portal are already working the latest 2.1 version.

4.Keyboard handling input is very difficult ,confusing .

5.The landscape keyboard doesn't work in the messaging app.

6.The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 can be charged and connected to a PC via normal micro USB port. It’s located on the top side and is well-hidden under a handy, plastic flap. The 3.5mm jack is right next to it

7.Connecting charger is difficult .

8.Using skype is difficult

9.Battery life is less, it seems cell eats its own power.

10.It got 1GZ processor , but I do not think it uses the power of 1GZ fully.

11.Very difficult to handle the phone , the mobile phone does not make life simple but it will give your mind the exercise to find out the tricks of using this phone.

12.Multi touch is not available.

13.No Support for Divx and Xvid files the cell is good as a video cell so this is must for this cell let’s hope in future Sony will add this support.

14.Sony Ericsson provides Wisepilot with all its handsets equipped with GPS but only with 30 Day trial on other hand Nokia ovi maps is free for life. Google is offering free maps and its said that in few years Google will give free world map GPS.

15.missing audio player equalizer

16.Have to use third party browser , inbuilt browser is not up to the mark.

Good Points - Positive Points –

1.Back side Battery cover is good gives nice feeling and gives comfortable feeling when we touch or hold it .

2.Camera is 8.1 mega pixels so picture quality is excellent .

3.Good for watching internet TV if you got 3g internet connection .

4.Working with the email , yahoo is easy . As it remembers the addresses , fills them automatically.

5.SMS and MMS performance is good .

6.Good cell if you like to watch Video and Listen music on Cell.

7.Performance of Video and Music is excellent .

Conclusion Regarding Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 –

Should I Buy the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10

I got an Xperia X10 a month back. Bought it for 34000/- Its going great so far. I have configured my office mails and installed VPN too. Pretty good. You forgot to mentioned the display and the reading experience. I have never come across any phone yet with such clear and vivid reading quality. I do read blogs and respond to them from my X10 :-)

Its light weight, camera is really too good, has motion sensors and face recognition.

Yes, the battery, it lasts for 1.5 days for me. And phones of these caliber and generally not sturdy. So we need to take care. One thing that disappointed me was it automatically sync'd up my gmail account and there's no sign out option.
